How costing, offline saves, installing and the optional AI helpers actually work.
Who is Inventory Smart for?
Anyone handling volume inventory — pallets, truckloads, storage-unit buyouts, liquidation and estate lots, closeout and merchandise buys — who needs to know what each individual item cost and what it made.
Do I need to download anything from an app store?
No. It's a progressive web app. You open it in your browser and add it to your home screen, where it runs full-screen with its own icon.
Does it work without a signal?
Yes. Screens keep loading from the device cache and any item you save offline is held locally with a pending sync marker, then uploaded automatically when the connection returns.
How does cost work if I paid one price for a whole load?
You record the lot's total cost, then tap allocate by resale value. The cost is split across items in proportion to their resale price, so a $400 item carries more cost than a $5 one. You can override any item manually.
Can it import a manifest?
Paste the manifest text into the lot and each line is parsed into an item with description, quantity, MSRP, SKU and model, dropped into your listing queue to finish.
Does it list to eBay or Facebook Marketplace for me?
No — there are no marketplace integrations. It tracks which platforms each item is posted on and gives you copy-ready titles and descriptions to paste into those sites.
Is the AI required?
No. AI titles, descriptions and price suggestions are optional helpers. Every part of the app works fully without touching them.
Can other people see my inventory?
No. Every account only ever sees its own lots, items, locations and sales.
